Inselberg gear is engineered for reliability in demanding environments, but extended use can take a toll. The Inselberg Repairs Program offers a solution for maintaining your gear’s performance and extending its lifespan.

Every Inselberg product is designed with repairability in mind. During development, we assemble, deconstruct, and rebuild each piece to ensure it not only performs to our standards but can also be restored when needed. This approach ensures that repairs maintain the same level of precision as the original manufacturing process.

The program supports all Inselberg products covered by our 3-year warranty, addressing defects in materials and craftsmanship. For items outside the warranty period, we assess the damage and confirm repair costs with you before proceeding.

How It Works

  1. Submit Your Request
    Start by completing the
    Repair Request Form. Include as much detail as possible about the issue, along with clear photos of the damage. The more information you provide, the faster and more accurately we can process your request.
  2. Assessment and Approval
    Once we receive your request, our repair specialists will review it. If your item is covered under warranty, repairs are performed free of charge. For non-warranty repairs, we’ll provide a detailed cost estimate for your approval. If additional information or inspection is needed, we’ll contact you.
  3. Shipping Your Gear
    • Under Warranty: We’ll send you a prepaid shipping label.
    • Not Under Warranty: You’ll need to arrange shipping using an insured, trackable service to ensure safe delivery.
  4. Repair Process
    Repairs are carried out at our facility by trained specialists using techniques that align with the original design. Every repair is done to ensure durability, functionality, and longevity.
  5. Return and Loaner Gear
    While your gear is being repaired, we’ll provide a loaner jacket of similar design. Once repairs are complete, we’ll ship your restored gear back to you, along with instructions for returning the loaner.

What will happen once I submit my repair request?
Once you submit your request, our team evaluates the information and photos you provide. We carefully assess the described issue to determine repair options. If your product needs to be sent in for closer inspection, we’ll notify you with shipping instructions.

For warranty-covered items, repairs proceed immediately at no cost. If the issue isn’t covered under warranty, we’ll share an estimate and wait for your approval before starting.

What if my product isn’t under warranty?
If your product is outside the 3-year warranty, we still evaluate its repairability. You’ll receive an estimate that outlines the costs of parts and labor. Repairs only begin after you approve the charges. If a product is deemed beyond repair, we’ll discuss alternative solutions, such as replacements or discounts.

How does shipping work?

  • Under Warranty: Inselberg provides a prepaid shipping label for returning the gear to our repair center.
  • Not Under Warranty: You are responsible for shipping your item to us. Please use an insured and trackable service, as Inselberg is not liable for items lost or damaged in transit.

Can delaminated products be repaired?
Yes, in most cases, fabric delamination can be repaired. However, if the damage compromises the structural integrity of the item beyond repair, we’ll discuss alternative solutions, such as replacing the product or offering a discount on a new purchase.

Will I receive a replacement while my gear is being repaired?
Yes, we’ll provide a loaner jacket of similar style to minimize disruption. The loaner is yours to use for the duration of the repair process.

What if my product can’t be repaired?
If repair isn’t possible, we’ll explore alternative options. This may include a discount on a replacement item or guidance on how to maintain the gear’s remaining usability.

How do I determine the name of my product?
Most Inselberg products have a care label inside with the product name or code. If this information is missing, include clear photos of your item with your repair request, and we’ll assist in identifying it.

Do alterations void my warranty?
Yes. Any unauthorized alterations or modifications, including third-party repairs, void the warranty. If you’re unsure whether a repair is authorized, contact our team for clarification.

What does 'Practical Product Lifespan' mean?
Practical product lifespan refers to the expected wearable life of a product under typical use. Factors like exposure to elements, frequency of use, and adherence to care instructions affect the lifespan. Our repairs aim to extend this period whenever possible, but if a product is deemed beyond practical repair, we’ll let you know and recommend next steps.

Are repairs guaranteed?
Yes, repairs are guaranteed for one year against defects in workmanship. If an issue arises related to the repair during this period, we’ll address it promptly.

What should I do if I lose or damage the loaner jacket?
Loaner jackets are expected to be returned in the same condition as provided. Significant damage or loss will result in replacement fees.

What happens if my gear is dirty or wet?
All items must be clean and dry before being sent for repair. Gear that arrives in unclean condition will be returned without assessment.
